Walk for a kinder world – Wednesday 13th November

Nov, 2024Events & Local Area

Did you know that engaging in acts of kindness produces endorphins, which improves your mood and creates positive emotions?

Wednesday 13th November is ‘World Kindness Day’ and the b kinder foundation is encouraging all residents to walk and pledge as much as you can.  Encourage family and friends to walk down the street, take a stroll along one of the many nature trails or take the kids to the playground.

Your donation will spread kindness by assisting a primary school student with a b kinder workbook, these unique and interactive learning tools initiate discussions surrounding emotions that can be difficult for the young to communicate. These highly effective kindness resources have been shown to reduce mental health issues, bullying and suicide.

The b kinder foundation’s vision to is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children through evidence-based kindness programs and resources.

Unfortunately, suicide is the leading cause of death among Australian youth.

1 in 7 primary school students has a mental health issue.

1 in 6 high school students report serious thoughts of suicide.

However, kindness saves lives so it’s time to pledge to be kind.

By donating to the b kinder foundation and participating in the ‘walk for a kinder world’ event you will be helping to spread kindness and put an end to bullying, loneliness, mental health issues and suicide.

Everybody can take a stand and make a difference just by being kind.
