Residents\u00a0can enjoy the double play tower with giant slides, basketball area, scooter-friendly paths, children\u2019s running track and other features that have proven successful in neighbouring parks.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A dedicated and fenced dog park, with agility equipment and seating, was added mid-design thanks to resident requests made to the Council.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Many dogs with their owners have already visited the dog park in the early spring weather.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The new parks and playground are over four acres in size, next to the Manor Lakes Sales Office, Good Manors Caf\u00e9 and opposite the future Village town centre.<\/p>\n

The Playground<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The recognisable double slide tower provides a wide view across the park, Manor Lakes and along Lollipop Creek.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The towers are surrounded by single and multi-person swings, a roundabout, hammocks and play climbers.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

For bigger kids (and adults) the sports area includes a half basketball court, fitness gym and down-ball courts.<\/p>\n

Event Facilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Double and single shelters with BBQs and picnic facilities are provided free for small to large groups.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Designers included both toilet and hand-washing facilities which allow for longer events or playground sessions, suitable for younger and older family members.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Also included is a gravel market space with market-stall spaces under canopy trees for future markets and events.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Landscape<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Plants within the heart of the play area were selected for their hardiness. There\u2019s a likelihood they\u2019ll be the subject of childhood curiosity or get in the way of wandering feet.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Native plants and trees also have a natural adaptation to the area, which means they should establish quickly and grow in the coming months and years.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The park was designed by Tract, an Australian landscape architecture and town planning firm operating since 1973.<\/p>\n

Visit Manor Lakes Boulevard Park, on Manor Lakes Boulevard west of Ison Road.<\/p>\n
